The Mind Map Book This idea-rich, relentlessly upbeat manual proffers graphic images as an aid to unlock creative thinking or clarify emotions. Drawing loosely on brain research, learning theory and information science, English business consultant/TV personality Tony Buzan (Use Both Sides of Your Brain) and his brother Barry, a professor of international studies, first outline "radiant thinking," a method designed to enhance one's associative, nonlinear thought processes. Next they explain how to create "mind maps"-colorful, structured, drawings, cartoonish or complex-as a tool to overcome mental blocks, organize ideas, brainstorm, strengthen one's memory and imagination, and make meetings more productive. Despite its inflated claims and cluttered presentation, this unusual how-to, replete with exercises, quizzes, dramatic color photos of patterns in nature, and sample mind maps, will challenge and stimulate the open-minded. |

Maps of the Mind I began reading "Maps of the Mind" in the mid-eighties, and have found this to be the most important, inspiring and influential books I've ever read. The authors' suggestions of possible applications of hemispheric specialization upon biblical, historical and mythological events are fascinating and insightful. This book makes a genuine attempt at reassembling "humpty dumpty". No other publication (that I've read) even dares to attempt to "make sense of" and "unify" practically every religions, philosophical, political, mythological and academic "ideas", "concepts" and "phenomena". This is my #1 choice of books, and I've both recommended it to others, and given several copies away to friend. Read this book! |

How to Mind Map As a Buzan Licensed Instructor in the Netherlands,
I would advise this book to everybody who wants to enter the exiting world
of Mind Mapping. I like books which go straight to the bottom of the case.
This practical pocket will do just that. With practical examples, like plan
a presentation or report, think up brilliant ideas, persuade people and
negotiate, Tony Buzan will jumpstart you in the Mind Map area. These
examples are displayed as beautiful and colorful mind maps; the way it
should be. I love it's simplicity! |

Mind Maps in Medicine For those that don't know, this is probably
the best way to learn review and study a subject (this goes for any
subject). This system just works the best and is the quickest. This book can
be used by any interns, students, various clinicians. you name it. It covers
most common disorders for all systems. Its incredible how little is known
about this book here in the US. I stomped on this book by coincidence in
Barnes and Nobles bookstore in Manhattan about 2 years ago. Since that time
I must have recommended it to at least 20 people, most of them loved it. |
